Educational Youth Wellness Research

Sarah B. Warren collaborates with Prof. Scott Leon of Loyola University-Chicago in conducting survey assessments of middle and high school wellness and risk behaviors.

The team develops survey questionnaires drawing on standardized surveys such as the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey; customized survey questions are created based on each institutional client.

Final written and verbal reports include not just statistical analysis and interpretation but development of a thoughtful narrative that does justice to the educational institution’s culture and needs.

We work closely with school administrators to carefully and creatively develop thoughtful means of disseminating results to the different audiences for the results.

Dr. Warren brings to the team her clinical expertise working with adolescents and parents as well as her past oversight of the Alcohol and Drug Prevention Program at the University of Chicago. Prof. Leon brings his expertise in educational survey design and statistical analysis.

Clients have included the Chicago Public Schools and the Latin School of Chicago.
